CHRONIC HEEL PAIN?
EPAT MAY BE YOUR ANSWER!
Our practice is now offering Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Therapy (EPAT) for the treatment of chronic heel pain, existing for a minimum of 6 months.
Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Treatments uses a unique set of pressure waves that generate a vascular response to stimulate and reactivate the body's repair mechanism to promote normal tissue healing. It stimulates neovascularization (development of new blood flow) that appears to play a role in the antiinflammation, pain relief and initiates the regeneration of soft tissue and bone with improvement in the blood supply. Damaged tissue gradually regenerates and eventually heals. Benefits of EPAT are that it is non-invasive, there is no need for hospitalization, there is usually no need for anesthesia, it can be perfomed on both feet on the same day of treatment and there are no restrictions for normal daily activity.
